This question has stunned people, can you answer it?

Hi there!

Does this sound familiar? "I don’t know what I want!"

This is a common response when I ask someone, "What ideally happens for you?" While we are often quick to feel our moments of discomfort, articulating our desires can be much more challenging.

This seems like it's something we haven't deeply considered or perhaps no one has asked us before.

To be honest, it’s a profound and philosophical question about our purpose in life. So if you’re feeling this way, know that you are not alone.

It might be difficult to see what we want

We often stand in our own way when it comes to identifying what’s truly important for us. Our ability to articulate our desires is determined by how well we understand ourselves.

Several factors can obstruct our clarity. We might downplay the importance of our wants. We might convince ourselves that our dreams are unattainable. We might also rationalize the status quo instead of contemplating change, especially after decisions are made for us.

But remember, there's still a line between finding peace and resigning ourselves to fate when we don’t have to.

I even hear someone ask me: "What do you think is the ideal situation for me?" But how can anyone else determine what’s best for you?

What if we could find out for ourselves?

What happens if we can find out

It can lift you, or the person you're speaking to, into a state of possibilities.

Self-discovery is an ongoing journey. By consolidating these insights and piecing these puzzle pieces together, you can start moving in the direction you want. This clarity can helps you decide how to keep track of your progress .

How can we know?

This is an invitation to ask yourself what you truly want. Break it down into different areas of your life: health, career, relationships, and more. Here are two ways to try:

  1. Magic Wand: Imagine you could wave a magic wand and anything could happen. What does your ideal life look like? This helps you remove any self-imposed restrictions and think freely.

  2. Imagery Exercise: Close your eyes and think about what makes you happy. What images come to mind? Your brain often thinks in pictures, making it easier to tap into your subconscious this way.
