Life update and apparently my vows were a hit

Hi there! A big welcome to those who have just joined us 👋

I promise to come back with more courage stories but wanted to share a life milestone today! If you are connected to me on other socials, you would have seen that I got married over the weekend🎉 .

While that was exciting, what’s even more interesting to me is that my vows seem to have left an impression with the audience.

Something about it felt extremely relatable I guess.

It was nothing complicated. In fact, it was difficult to get started on writing it!

I wrote about what I felt about my husband, when I first met him. It became how he was actually the opposite and how I valued this side of him. And finally, I landed on how we didn’t have to pretend to be what we are not.

It was probably easier to paint the picture as I met the perfect guy and we lived happily ever after. But I think there is beauty in saying things as it is. And a few years ago, I won’t have been able to do that.

I hope this doesn’t come off as a vow writing tutorial!

What I’m really trying to say is: whether when it comes to writing the vow, building a relationship and speaking in front of a 150 people, when we stop standing in our own way, we do much better.

The last sentence of my vows. We promised not to take ourselves too seriously that day.
