Someone who didn't want to be told what to do

Hi there!
Do you know of someone who has left their job and on the look out?
I have been partnering with someone in a tech who left her current job. Her objective is simple but big. It is to figure out her north star, instead of reacting to the next thing that comes her way.
Despite the uncertainty in tech and hiring slow down, what stood out to me was that fire and belief that she could get to where she wanted to be.
This was not someone finding someone to solve their problem for them, which I was very used to seeing.
She has such autonomy and ownership over her situation that she said to me: “I wouldn’t work with you if you told me what to do.”
Her words stuck with me. It reinforced two things I know about people who are in times like this:
It is difficult but possible to have the courage and belief even if you don’t know how things might end up
You don’t need more advice. You need to listen to your gut more.

A few rounds of conversations helped us achieved a few things:
Agreeing to put her own needs first
Her “10 commandments” and must have in her next role
Strengthened her ability to measure her offers against each other
With her north star in place, decision-making became a breeze.
Have you been putting off something and then hate the feeling of procrastination? I can help you:
👉 Clarify and strengthen your intentions. Why do you want to do this?
👉 Unpack what’s holding you back
👉 Stay accountable and supported on your action plan
